Upland game birds and really all grassland birds have faced decades of habitat destruction and fragmentation. Our mission is to protect, restore and enhance wildlife habitat right here in YOUR backard. To date our chapters have spent $11 Million to improve 280,000 acres of habitat and an additional $1.5 Million on the conservation education of 17,000 youth. But there is much more still to do.

Pheasant Fest Announcement Sends more CRP to Illinois

Feb 27, 2010 - Secretary Vilsak signed an MOU with Pheasants Forever during Pheasant Fest in Des Moines. He also announced there will be a general CRP signup this year and increased allocations for some CRP continuous programs. Illinois is receiving an additiona 13,500 acres for CP33 and 1650 more acres for the state SAFE program. For more information on the announcement click here
